it's just plain
awesome that I'm not the only one who considers Xanadu to be some sort of recognizable part of their past.
Although I admit to having a cosmo or two while saying this...that's better than admitting to liking the damn movie/soundtrack in the first place.
Or I could take the road that I studied and just quote Coleridge, but well, I'm not sure which one influenced me more...Olivia or Samuel...

Heheheheh. When I first decided to do that kind of bio, listing all the influences that have been in my life, i decided on total honesty and full disclosure. And sure enough, when I was 8 years old, Xanadu captivated me. Muses on roller skates looking for a nightclub to be built! Who can resist?
I should also point out that my favorite song as a kid was "I Can't Smile Without You" by Barry Manilow.

I guess that's only mildly better than admitting that Anita Ward's one-hit wonder, "Ring My Bell" was mine...
