when it rains, it pours
into my car that is. I went out a little bit ago to get my headset for a conference call I have later today and discovered that the driver's window was open. I turned the car on and tried to roll it up...nada. It wasn't catching.
Nobody broke into the car--it appears that the window just decided to fall.
Odd, huh? One errand I wasn't planning on running today--to take my car in to get fixed. We have a towel hanging in the window at the moment. It looks like it must have happened within the last 1/2 hour to an hour because while things were wet, there isn't a lot of water that has puddled up and we have had torrential rain this morning.
Thank god for warranties.

I had something similar happen with a car a whiles back. Yes, the window CAN fall out of alignment and yes it IS a simple fix (under 50$ even if your warranty has expired). But what a bother, ugh!

Mine did too. I fixed it with some string and a ruler and one of those suction cup thingies off of the window shade. (tie string to the suction cup thingy, lick the suction cup thingy, push it down with the ruler until it sticks to the window and then pull the window back up) and then I shook it real hard until it locked back into place in the door. and then I didn't mess with it until I could get it into the shop to take the panel off and secure it in place.

Joe took it in yesterday--apparently some part that kept the window on the track just fell apart. They rigged it so that it would stay up until next week when the part arrives. And yep, under warranty. Yay!
